Bad day? Read this book- It really is that funny, especially if you are familiar with the ‘history’ of Alan Partridge.
An especially clever touch is the list of music to play at various points in the story; a way to add an extra dimension, as even if you don’t play the track, you can laugh at why Partridge thinks it is appropriate.
I think Steve Coogan is an incredibly creative talent. His output is prolific and varied. Recent excursions into his psyche are of great interest and often hilarious but although there is more to him than this comic creation, his various forays into the world of Alan Partridge will undoubtedly remain among his finest moments.
This book captures the essence of Partridge and is a worthy next chapter in the saga.
