MY FATHER’S GLORY and MY MOTHER’S CASTLE – Marcel Pagnol, 1960



A real joy to read.  

I loved Jean de Florette and Manon des Sources; these novels are the forerunners. 

There is so much within their pages that clearly inspired the masterpieces which Pagnol later produced.

But I have a problem. It’s a big one actually. The Father’s ‘Glory’ actually refers to the killing of some very rare birds.
