ANGEL WITH TWO FACES – Nicola Upson, 2009

I enjoyed this as I read it but I can’t see myself reading it again.
I liked the detective Archie Penrose (the one Inspector Grant was, supposedly, based upon) and the inclusion of Josephine Tey.
I especially liked the setting as these places are dear to my heart. Loe Bar is mysterious at the best of times so it is perfectly suited to a murder mystery in 1935 and I love the Minack Theatre.

But, as well as murder, it also includes witchcraft, incest and homosexuality, which seems a bit like ‘overkill.’
