MUCH ADO ABOUT NOTHING – William Shakespeare, 1598-9

What new is there to be said about a work of Shakespeare? There is little point in trying but I feel that reviews of Much Ado which criticise it for having its plot dictated by its characters, wantonly dismiss the fact that the characterisation is so good that it must influence the action.
