THE TWITS – Roald Dahl, 1980

A masterpiece of storytelling! It is no surprise that children love this book, for it contains everything they look for. There is humour, trickery, mess, mayhem and eventual justice.

Roald Dahl knew how to entertain. In The Twits he introduces us to two thoroughly awful people, shows us just how horrible they are and then allows us to watch them get their comeuppance. It is a joy to read – again and again.
