THE SNACK THIEF – Andrea Camilleri, 2005

Montalbano’s relationship with Livia reaches a crisis point as he interests himself in the case of a young boy stealing lunchboxes on the periphery of his main investigation.
The boy is of major importance and his plight continues throughout subsequent novels

The Snack Thief is as meticulously researched and presented as the other works in the series, but here we see a deeper vulnerability in the character
if our hero.
